Barney is turning 5 months old tomorrow, and it’s incredible to see how quickly he’s growing. Every day, he seems to discover something new, and his latest fascination is his bouncer. It has become his favorite toy, and he can spend hours bouncing and giggling in it. There’s nothing quite like the sound of a baby’s laughter to brighten up the entire house.

It hasn’t all been easy, though. Tomorrow, I will be going in for dialysis, which means I’ll likely be sleeping through most of the 4th of July festivities. However, I’m hopeful that I can catch some fireworks later in the evening. It’s those small moments of joy that keep me going, along with the incredible support from my loved ones.

Barney will be spending his day with Ian and my parents while I undergo treatment. It’s such a comfort to know he is in good hands and enjoying his time with family. This holiday may be a bit different for us this year, but we are embracing every moment.

From our family to yours, we want to wish everyone a fantastic 4th of July. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories.

I’m currently seeking a kidney donor and I’m working with an organization called DOVE to help facilitate the experience.
