Good morning, everyone!

As I walked with Miss Maya this beautiful morning, I wanted to share a practice that has been profoundly healing for me. With the guidance of my coach, I’ve started dedicating 30 minutes a day to what we jokingly call a “pity party.” It’s a time set aside to fully feel and acknowledge my struggles—whether it’s my body not being where it once was, the pain I’m in, or my health challenges.

This intentional grieving process has been surprisingly liberating. By allowing myself to consciously suffer for a set period, I can mourn and then move forward with my day feeling more present and focused. I’ve also applied this technique to my thoughts about life post-surgery, helping me stay grounded in the now rather than being consumed by future worries.

This practice has taught me to balance acceptance and hope, living fully in the present while acknowledging the pain and envisioning a better future. Each day, I’m learning to embrace the moment, finding strength and beauty even in the midst of challenges.

I hope sharing this can help others who might be feeling overwhelmed.

Sending you all my love and positive energy. Take care and cherish each moment.

Warm regards,
Danielle

I’m currently seeking a kidney donor and I’m working with an organization called DOVE to help facilitate the experience.
